Brampton Arts Organization Launches New Program to Enrich Brampton Students' School Experience and Inspire the Next Generation of Brampton Artists - BAO

Brampton artists, creatives, collectives, and arts & culture organizations are invited to submit proposals.

BRAMPTON, ON (July 30, 2024) – Brampton Arts Organization (BAO) is seeking proposals for multi-genre arts-based programs, exhibitions, performance, and workshops for classrooms across Brampton schools from kindergarten to grade twelve. Proposals can be from any artistic discipline, including visual arts, film, media arts, drama, dance, music, spoken word, fashion, writing, creative entrepreneurship and multidisciplinary arts.

The goal of the BAO Artists and Creatives in Brampton Schools program is to reduce barriers to arts participation and creative skill development for Brampton students while providing local Brampton creatives and organizations with fully funded program delivery support. Brampton students will greatly benefit by receiving training and instruction from professional artists for free as we develop the next generation of local talent.

This program builds on the City of Brampton’s commitment to enhance the well-rounded development of the community’s youth through innovative programs and inclusive initiatives. The arts not only support children’s well-being but help them develop their creativity, self-expression and essential problem-solving skills.

Selected individuals and groups will receive up to $1500.00 to provide their proposed program. These funds will cover artist fee/s and materials. There will be a total six funded projects.
