Parkscapes is a new program whose focus is to bring together neighbours around Eastbourne Park and develop community through arts workshops and activations. Together we will transform the experience of visiting Eastbourne Park.

Join local artist Aditi Ganeev Sangwan at Eastbourne Park’s Tiny Forest for this all-ages hands-on workshop where you will experiment with stencils and relief printing techniques on acrylic sheets. What we make together will be installed on fencing in the park to prepare the space for a Diwali-inspired celebration on November 1st.

During the celebration, YOUR artwork will be illuminated with solar-powered lighting. Traditional Diwali motifs such as rangoli patterns, diyas, lotus flowers, paisley designs, and geometric borders will glow to symbolize joy, unity, and renewal.

Everyone is welcome to participate in this community art workshop. No experience is required. All materials and instruction will be provided to participants.

All participants and the community are invited to take part in a monkey parade around Eastbourne Park on Saturday, November 1st at 5:00 p.m. as we activate the park together for Diwali. Save your spot here.

In partnership with Toronto Region Conversation Authority.
