Learn about all the publishing options available to writers, including the production, distribution, and marketing responsibilities for authors, from Brampton Writer in Residence Suzan Palumbo.

Participants will learn how to evaluate their publishing goals regarding different routes to publication. They will leave equipped with tools and knowledge necessary to make informed decisions about which method best suits their goals.

The Brampton Writer in Residence is a collaboration between the Brampton Arts Organization, Brampton Library and the Festival of Literary Diversity.

Suzan Palumbo’s residency takes place at the Mount Pleasant Village Branch Library from March 3 to April 25, 2026. During her residency, Suzan will lead two in-person workshops on March 25th and April 15th. She is available for one-on-one consultations with aspiring writers to review their work and offer guidance about writing, the publishing industry, and how to edit their work.

To book a consultation, please email events@bramptonlibrary.ca with up to 10 pages of your manuscript, what you hope to discuss with Suzan and your preferred date and time. Selected submissions will be contacted. Learn more about Suzan at bramlib.info/writer-in-residence.
