Join us for Brampton Arts Organization’s fifth annual Brampton Film Showcase.

Get a sneak peek at the rising film and video talent emerging from our city! You’ll enjoy eleven short films and videos by local creatives, filmmakers, producers, actors, and content creators and celebrate their achievements.

This is a great opportunity to connect with industry peers and fellow film enthusiasts. Anyone interested in growing the Brampton film, video, and media arts scene should be sure to join us.

Help celebrate and recognize the best films by selecting the Audience Award Winner! This award will be handed out after the screening along with the Judges’ Choice Award winners.

We will also be joined by special guests like BAO Ambassador Sasha Leigh Henry and others.

Following the screening, join us in the lobby to network and socialize.

Some films contain mature situations and themes including violence and swearing. Viewer discretion is advised.

When a young girl disappears from her apartment complex, Osas, a bronze caster and outsider within her community, is haunted by her grief for someone she only knew from a distance. In this surrealist drama weaving live action and 2D animation, we follow the thread between the disappearance of an Edo girl from Benin city and the stolen art of the Benin kingdom.

Amidst rising xenophobia, three South Asian settlers paint a more holistic picture of what Brampton is today. The film acts as a fleeting memory, creating vignettes of the everchanging cultural pocket through multi language prose and 16mm film.

Patrolling the streets at night, Brampton Batman proves that you don’t need violence to make a difference. Having been the dark knight for over a decade now, he acts as an icon in the community, promoting goodwill among Brampton residents.
