Brampton Arts Organization Debuts New Website and Marks Independence with October 17 Celebration - BAO

Join the Brampton arts and culture community as they celebrate this milestone

BRAMPTON, ON (October 10, 2024) – The Brampton Arts Organization (BAO) is proud to announce the launch of their new website and celebrate a new chapter in their relationship with the City of Brampton as a registered non-profit organization.

BAO was originally formed as The Arts, Culture & Creative Industry Development Agency (ACCIDA) in 2021. Since then, over 10,000 individuals have participated in BAO’s free public programming and hundreds of Brampton artists have been paid for their artwork.

The new website, a one-stop-shop for all things BAO, will also serve as a starting point for individuals’ creative practice professional development and a showcase for the amazing work BAO and local artists have done together as a community over the past three years. You can view the new website at bramptonartsorg.ca on Thursday, October 17, 2024.

BAO hired award-winning creative agency Field Trip & Co to design BAO’s new digital home. Working closely with the organization and local artists, Field Trip & Co created a fully responsive and visually striking website that showcases the high calibre of artistic production coming out of the city. The site will engage with creatives and encourage attendance to the many free workshops, programs and events that BAO hosts.

On October 17, BAO invites everyone to the organization’s offices to celebrate the website launch. The free festivities will feature special performances by Juno Award-nominated singer songwriter AHI and choreographer-dancer Kwasi Obeng-Adjei, as well as live DJ sets by dj5rivers.

Join the Brampton Arts Organization staff, Board of Directors, Members of Council, and arts & culture community.
